From the Locomotive d’or to the Chèvrefeuille barge of the Convivencia Festival, the loud voices and undulating melodies, colored brasses and hair-raising guitars of the Super Rail Band from Bamako travel from swamp blues to urban mandingue rock. This band of the Buffet-Hotel of Bamako station, will be to modern mandingue music what E.T.Mensah were to high-life (Ghana), Mahlathini to mbaqanga (South Africa) or I.K. Dairo to juju music (Nigeria). Its successive singers – the most famous in the West are Salif Keita and Mory Kanté – have been the undisputed superstars of the Malian scene until the birth of Wassoulou music in the nineties. And to what point? And truly, what is this strange feeling that inhabits me when a friend needs me? Happiness or a need?It is the story of three inseparable friends who met in secondary school. But the band disintegrates after the marriage of one of them and will rebuild itself the day of the divorce.

Today, 23, they are down-to-earth and became the heroes of their songs.That's a good belgian story! After a great number of shows in Belgium, Eté 67 attacks France now with a "war plan": shows to test the audience then signature by Wagram. In this Montpellier night, Eté 67 energy and sympathy fortunately made us forget the boorish Antirouille managers, or we could have had a bad night!
