No serious kids at 17, I've been told.Yet, the six Eté 67 guys have been very concerned with music since their youth with a shared love for the Beatles, The Velvet Underground and Dutronc. They were bored to death in the suburbs of Liège and were dreaming of love and travels, recurring themes of their first album.
Today, 23, they are down-to-earth and became the heroes of their songs.That's a good belgian story! After a great number of shows in Belgium, Eté 67 attacks France now with a "war plan": shows to test the audience then signature by Wagram. In this Montpellier night, Eté 67 energy and sympathy fortunately made us forget the boorish Antirouille managers, or we could have had a bad night! If his characters always have empty eyes, Besseron does have the eye and the manner to catch the daily situations and make a mockery of them to make us laugh at horrible things.Bred with rock'n'roll and fanzine (rock hardi, psikopat, le dernier neurone...), he started drawing in the latter ones. He kept from that time a short and efficient format. After his Comics period or "drawing without reflexion", Besseron built step by step his own universe full of simple and endearing people who are caught in a daily madness. That's the moment when Bess steps in, corrosive, black, horrible and yet funny.
