More than a simple fortuitous encounter, The John Venture offers a real fusion. A mad project that gathers two bands from Saint Etienne, Angil & the Hiddentracks on the one hand and Broadway on the other hand. The rule? To write, record, and mix one song per day without re-working it on the following day.The result? A record that destroys the musical boundaries between folk, electronic music and hip-hop, a perfect mixture between Angil’s high and strong voice and the skilled jazzy electro hip-hop of Broadway. Super Rail Band de Bamako
From the Locomotive d’or to the Chèvrefeuille barge of the Convivencia Festival, the loud voices and undulating melodies, colored brasses and hair-raising guitars of the Super Rail Band from Bamako travel from swamp blues to urban mandingue rock. This band of the Buffet-Hotel of Bamako station, will be to modern mandingue music what E.T.Mensah were to high-life (Ghana), Mahlathini to mbaqanga (South Africa) or I.K. Dairo to juju music (Nigeria). Its successive singers – the most famous in the West are Salif Keita and Mory Kanté – have been the undisputed superstars of the Malian scene until the birth of Wassoulou music in the nineties. Encounter on the edge of the Canal du Midi!

Gojira on OC-TV.net
Formerly called Godzilla, the guys from the Landes of Gojira are born under the wing of Richard Gamba. Close to a melodic death metal, these monsters offer us incredible atmospheres on their records and on stage, with a faultless technique. A French band that is sure to find some success abroad. Unique, impetuous, brutal and lyrical at the same time, Gojira is a reference of the French scene that cannot be ignored.

Hey Gravity, Summer festival
Londonian rock band created in 2006, HEY GRAVITY ! is above all the project of singer Justine Berry, ex-leader of garage-rock band M.A.S.S.With no claim to revolutionize the genre, here is a wild garage rock with no worry about conventions, which aim is to share a weightless moment with Risen. Full of energy and led by two female voices, the punk rock quintet Hey Gravity ! leaves no respite, going brutally from one song to another. They offer us an appealing meal that, from time to time, seems like mashed potatoes but never like soup. Encounter at the Summer Festival !

Léa Crespi, exposition 'Lieux”
A young artist, Léa Crespi, in the exhibition named « Places », shows us photographs in which body and place questions the humanity of these spaces full of memory and history. The blurred presence of the naked body which becomes an object is very far from all kinds of self-portraits. A work that looks like an initiatory quest.

Bat For Lashes, video music 'What's a girl to do'
The video “What’s a girl to do”
Coming from Great Britain, Bat For Lashes is a female quartet, made of Natasha Khan, Ginger Lee, Abi Fry and Lizzie Carey. The band was created around Natasha Khan, whose magical voice recalls singers such as Kate Bush, Björk, Chan Marshall or PJ Harvey. For their new single, What’s a Girl To Do, these four magicians of sound have added martial percussions to their fairy pop.

Izabo on OC-TV.net
Izabo's music has been described as a "Brilliant, action packed combination of Psychadelic Rock, Disco, Punk and Arabic spices", or, if we are to name-drop, like an unlikely cross between Led Zeppelin, the Talking Heads, and Um Kultum. Featuring higah-to-ultra-high vocals, twisting and expressive arab-flavoured guitar work, powerfully funky basslines, arrogantly catchy keyboards and intense disco beats, Izabo have established themselves as one of Israel's most absorbing live acts. Izabo are currently working on their second full length - "Superlight", which follows "The Fun Makers" LP and "Morning Hero" EP (released via BMG-uk). The first album Fun Makers will be out the 5th of February 2007 in France (RoY Music / Discograph).http://www.izabo.co.uk/

Koopa The Band on OC-TV.net
Koopa made UK Chart history in January2007 by becoming the first ever unsigned band to have a Top 40 hit with their autobiographic hit Blag, Steal and Borrow. After a few listenings and a few doubts, we are finally charmed by the trio from Colchester who is really good on stage. Influenced by Green Day, Nirvana, or the Beatles, Cooper brothers and singer Joe Murphy give a fresh indie pop yet punk-inspired made for success. They announced their second hit in the summer and ask all their fans to promote.Watch Koopa's interview at 1st Indie night at Havana.http://myspace.com/koopa
